Mission statement
In March 2022, the Secretary General of the Hague Conference on Private International Law (HCCH) formally invited EAPIL to participate as an Observer in the First Meeting of the Special Commission (SC) on the practical operation of the 2007 Child Support Convention and its Protocol, scheduled to take place between 17 and 19 May 2022.
The Working Group intends to draft a position paper that, if approved by the Scientific Council, will represent the contribution of EAPIL to the works of the Special Commission.
Developments and outcome
The Working Group, established in April 2022, issued a Position Paper which the Scientific Council of EAPIL endorsed in May 2022.
