Recognition of U.S. Securities Class Actions in Europe

On 25 February 2026, the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Milan will host a seminar in English titled Recognition of U.S. Securities Class Actions in Europe: Compatibility of Opt-Out Claims with the Right to a Fair Trial. The main speaker will be Meltem Ece Oba (Koç University, Istanbul), while Marco Lamandini (University of Bologna) will intervene as discussant.

Those wishing to attend can do so either on-site or online through MS Teams. No prior registration is required.

The event is part of the Milan Early Career Scholars Initiative (MECSI), a program run by the Institute of International Studies of the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart aimed to promote the scientific achievements of young researchers in the field of private international law, transnational law and the law of international arbitration.
