New Phishing Emails sent on behalf of EAPIL
Many thanks to the members who have informed me of the relatively sophisticated phishing email that they received today in my name, asking for assistance.
As always, the email address was suspicious.
If you reply to this email, you will be asked:
Thank you for your kind reply.
I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience, but I require your assistance with a transfer of €2,700 for delegate logistics. This payment has just come up and is quite urgent.
I am currently on vacation and unable to reach my office manager or treasurer. Unfortunately, I am also having difficulty processing international transfers without my bank access token, and the EAPIL treasurer is also away on vacation.
Could you kindly confirm if I can send you the IBAN details of the recipient to make the transfer on behalf of EAPIL? Please rest assured that the full amount will be reimbursed to you as soon as I return to the office and have access to my bank token.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Please do not pay anything to these people, because, well, you will not be paid back !
I repeat again that I will never ask for you to pay me any money.
