The European Succession Regulation and the New Swiss Rules on Cross-Border Successions
The sixth Journéee de droit patrimonial international, organised by the Centre of Comparative, European and International Law of the University of Lausanne, will take place on 12 September 2024.
This year’s edition will revolve around two topics: the application of the European Succession Regulation in the case law of the Court of Justice and the courts of Member States, and the recent reform of Chapter 6 of the Swiss Federal Statute on Private International Law, on cross-border successions.
The event, in French, will feature presentations by Patrick Wautelet (University of Liège), Cyril Nourissat (Jean Moulin – Lyon 3 University), Jan Peter Schmidt (Max-Planck-Institut für ausländisches und internationales Privatrecht, Hamburg), Guillermo Palao Moreno and María González Marimon (University of Valencia), Matthäus Uitz (University of Vienna), Neža Pogorelcnik Vogrinc (University of Ljubljana), Andrea Bonomi (University of Lausanne), Ilaria Pretelli (Swiss Institute of Comparative Law), and Kinga M.
