Mission statement
The Working Group offers a forum for exchanging ideas and reflecting on the private international law issues surrounding trusts and institutions analogous to trusts. The Group’s initial task consists in preparing EAPIL’s contribution to the Working Group established in March 2025 in the context of the Hague Conference on Private International Law (HCCH) to review and complete the study on the application and interpretation of Article 2 of the Hague Trusts Convention of 1 July 1985 on the law applicable to trusts and their recognition. Members of the EAPIL Working Group have taken part in the discussion occurred at the meetings of the HCCH Working Group and have submitted written contributions.
